Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

Do you Cake your face and bake it?

You all know what I mean. Wear too much makeup!? It’s what almost every beauty youtube does, and they don’t even need it! I guess it must cost a fortune, or maybe they get their makeup free. Of course, what do I know? Still, it looks beautiful, but to me, it’s too much!! I see they apply it like paint, with a paintbrush and then apply concealer under the eyes in a V and on top of all that they use setting powder to bake it so their makeup won’t crease I guess. It’s a lot, and if you don’t wear the same amount of eye makeup it just looks weird, so they have to wear false lashes to compensate looking done.  Makeup isn’t cheap even the drugstore brand in my case.

For me, I have only used concealer never foundation. Growing up with acne, to hide my pimples I would use what was a favorite concealer back then, called Erase. It was a stick like a tube with a light to medium skin shades that was meant to cover your red pimples. That was all! I can’t find the same concealer however a better erase and that I use now is instant age rewind eraser….

I also wore mascara, eyeshadow, blush, and eyeliner. No bronzer or contour or highlighter.  I’d like to tell you that I haven’t used makeup in decades and only just started to buy that shit again just because I can. However, times have changed and so has makeup. Like I said I never wore foundation and don’t know if I ever will. I don’t even know how to apply it because it sure doesn’t look good on me, particularly the matte ones like the Hourglass Immaculate liquid powder formula.

I want to like it if it is meant for people with problem skin. However, my skin has also changed, and I need a hydrating makeup or anti-aging. I’m still playing with makeup, but for me to hide my imperfections, I feel I either have to cake that foundation on like those beauty gurus or not wear makeup at all! I am used to wearing nothing at all, and I like it. I would much rather use skincare products, and that’s a whole other ball of wax. I know I am not that much into makeup nor do I particularly like it; cause …..  Primer. Ugh that stuff makes my pores sweat;q
